An anatomical composite build-up is a gentle method that restores the shape, size and function of a damaged tooth using a modern aesthetic filling material in the colour of your own tooth. Careful layering of the composite achieves a very natural appearance. So it is not just about filling the hole that decay has made in your tooth.

A dry working field is absolutely crucial for the success of a composite build-up. That is why a rubber dam (a special latex or latex-free sheet) is used to isolate the tooth from saliva and the moisture in your breath. Individual layers of composite material are then applied using a special technique and gradually cured with a special polymerisation lamp. Each layer is carefully shaped so that the finished tooth matches the surrounding teeth in shape, function and colour. Finally, the build-up is finished and polished to a high gloss that mimics the natural surface of tooth enamel. We use this treatment in cases of tooth decay, dental injury, significant tooth wear, when closing gaps, or when correcting the shape and colour of the front teeth. After the procedure, the tooth may be sensitive to cold, heat and biting. These unpleasant sensations usually subside within a few days. Provided the technological procedure is followed, together with prevention and regular professional dental hygiene, your tooth build-up can serve you for many years.

Endodontics, commonly known as “root canal treatment”, is a procedure aimed at saving a tooth whose nerve (dental pulp) has been damaged by deep decay, injury or inflammation. The goal is to remove the infection from inside the tooth, thoroughly clean the root canals and prevent further complications.

In our practice, this procedure is performed exclusively using a dental operating microscope, rotary endodontic instruments, a rubber dam and precise disinfection of the canals. The procedure itself is carried out under local anaesthesia. The patient feels only pressure or vibration. The procedure requires sufficient time, which is essential for perfect mechanical and chemical cleaning of all the root canals along their entire length. The procedure takes between 1.5 and 3 hours depending on the type of tooth and the extent of its initial damage. When all technological procedures are followed, the success rate of the treatment is in the range of 85–95%. After endodontic treatment, a dead tooth loses its internal nourishment, becomes brittle and is at risk of fracturing. In the vast majority of cases it should therefore be reinforced within a few months of treatment with a crown, which firmly encloses the tooth and protects it from cracking. A tooth treated in this way can then serve in the mouth for decades to come.

This is performed when a previous endodontic treatment has failed. On an X-ray, the inflammation shows up as a so-called “cyst” at the tip of the root. It is a procedure that often represents the last chance to save your own tooth from removal (extraction). 

Typically, inflammation appears when the canals were not filled along their full length in the past, when it has hidden in anatomically complex lateral canals, or when bacteria have re-entered the tooth through a leaking filling or crown. Just like endodontic treatment, this procedure is performed exclusively using a dental operating microscope, rotary endodontic instruments, a rubber dam and precise disinfection of the canals. The procedure itself is carried out under local anaesthesia. The patient perceives only pressure or vibration. The procedure requires sufficient time, which is essential for finding untreated canals and for perfect mechanical and chemical cleaning of all the root canals from the original filling. The procedure takes between 2 and 4 hours depending on the type of tooth and the extent of its initial damage. When all technological procedures are followed, the success rate of the treatment is in the range of 85 – 95 %. In most cases, keeping your own tooth is the best possible choice. A natural tooth is irreplaceable for the body – it ensures the correct transfer of chewing forces, helps maintain the surrounding bone and contributes to the stability of the entire dentition. Modern endodontic retreatment now makes it possible to save many teeth that would previously have had to be extracted. Inflammation under a tooth can also be resolved by extracting the tooth, and sometimes extraction is the only remaining option, but the subsequent reconstruction of the lost tooth is always more expensive than saving it.

This is a surgical endodontic procedure used when the infection inside the root canals can no longer be removed by conventional endodontic treatment or retreatment through the crown of the tooth. It represents the last option for keeping your own tooth even in cases where conventional endodontic treatment or retreatment is not possible or has not been successful. 

We turn to it when, despite precise retreatment, the lesion above the root has not fully healed. Other indications are cases where the anatomy of the root canal is very unfavourable, the canal is blocked by a fractured root instrument that cannot be removed, or the tooth carries a functional prosthetic restoration (crown, bridge) that could be damaged by treatment through the crown of the tooth. In such a case, the surgical approach from the side through the bone is safer. The procedure is again performed under local anaesthesia and with the help of a dental operating microscope. Because it involves working with gum and bone tissue, the postoperative phase tends to be more sensitive than with conventional endodontic treatment or retreatment. Mild to moderate swelling and pain at the site of the wound occur and last 3 to 7 days after the procedure. These symptoms can be relieved very well with ordinary painkillers and ice packs. As with conventional endodontic treatment, your own tooth root is of inestimable value to the body. As long as there is a chance of saving the tooth, root-end resection takes priority.

They are made from various types of ceramic based on a scan of the prepared tooth. We use them in cases of extensive tooth destruction caused by decay or injury, after root canal treatment, or in aesthetic smile makeovers.

They are thin layers of ceramic used in aesthetic smile makeovers. They correct the shape, colour and angle of the front teeth. 

With a bridge, we can replace missing teeth that had to be extracted. To make one, it is necessary to prepare the teeth on either side of the gap so that the bridge can be bonded to them.

Temporary crowns, bridges or veneers are made in the case of more extensive work and in situations where the patient cannot leave “without a tooth”. They are made directly in the practice using a template technique or in cooperation with a dental laboratory. For major reconstructions, several sets of temporaries are made.
